Butter Bean Hummus

Hummus is very easy to make and full of protein. Try this amazingly creamy recipe for butter bean hummus, a delicious twist on a traditional recipe. This hummus is the perfect snack, especially when served with freshly chopped veg, crackers or some warm pita bread.

2-4 people


3 garlic cloves
1/2 yellow onion
1/2 Tbsp. Mr Organic Olive Oil
1 tin Mr Organic Butter Beans drained and rinsed
1 tsp. smoked paprika
1 lemon, juiced
1 Tbsp. Mr Organic Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tsp. chilli flakes
1 Tbsp. tahini
Salt and pepper to taste


1. Preheat the oven at 200C.

2. Chop the onion and peel the garlic cloves. Then put them in a roasting pan and drizzle olive oil on top. Place them in the oven for about 10 minutes, or until golden.

3. Place the roasted onion and garlic into a food processor. Add the butter beans, smoked paprika, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, chilli flakes, and tahini and blend until smooth.

4. Season to taste with salt and pepper, then serve with chopped vegetables, crackers, or pita bread.
