Spaghetti with Flaxseed Oil Pesto and Peas

Deliciously filling pasta for lunch? Oh yes please!

The flaxseed oil pesto compliments the pasta & peas just perfectly with its nutty tone – try it out for yourself!

250g Mr Organic Italian Spaghetti
2 crushed Cloves of Garlic
1 tsp milled Flaxseeds
2 cups of fresh Basil Leaves
pinch of Salt
4 Tbsp of Pine Nuts
1/4 cup of Mr Organic Cold Pressed Flaxseed Oil
1/4 cup of Mr Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 cups of Peas


1. Cook the spaghetti as per instruction on packaging.

2. Whilst the spaghetti is cooking: place the garlic, basil leaves, pine nuts, salt, flax seed oil and olive oil in a food processor and blend until it forms a thick paste.

3. Boil peas in water with a pinch of salt.

4. Mix 1/4 cup of the pesto mixture with ½ cup of the spaghetti water and mix thoroughly.

5. Drain the pasta and place in a large bowl where the peas and the pesto/water mixture should be added. Thoroughly mix and incorporate the pesto with the spaghetti and its ready to be served!

6. Keep the rest of the pesto in a jar by pouring a thin layer of oil on top.
